LinC60+ Formation Rate Equations

            Under the assumptions of decay rates independent of n (for n=0 and n>0) and insignificant dissociation rates, the formation rate equations can be expressed in a kinetic model with only two variables, k1 and M1(0), as shown on the right.

Determing k1 and M1(0) from the decay of LiC60+ permits the prediction of all other species (n=2-6). The plots below compare predicted values (curves) with observed ion counts. Close agreement confirms the single formation rate model.
